The consortium began in 2019 when the eight regional library boards signed off on a project proposal to combine their individual catalogues and patron databases into one integrated library system (ILS).
Launched in April 2022, the new Same Page ILS provides all patrons with:
- One common user experience, regardless of their location.
- The ability to register for a universal library card at any member library.
- The opportunity to search for public library materials in a single database containing almost one million items.
- Seamless access to materials from any of the 60+ branch libraries.
Ongoing funding for the Consortium is provided by the eight regional library boards.
Governance
The Same Page Consortium is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of the Chief Executive Officers/Executive Directors of the eight member libraries.
